Welcome back to another Meet your Maulers! The next Mauler is forward #11 Josh Chamberlain! I had the great pleasure of meeting with Josh at Glacier Ice Rink the day before the home opener and it was awesome to get to know him a little bit! He is 6 ft 4 in, 170 lbs, from Spokane, Washington, USA, and is a '97. For the 2012-2013 season he played for Team Compete U-17. I think that Josh will be a very good addition to the Maulers' roster for his overall scoring abilities. He has great puck handling skills and that really shows it in times of need. Watching him play in both games this weekend, I saw that he works very well with his team mates and has great skates. When he is out on shifts he knows exactly what to go and where to find the puck. I love that he is playing with his brother Matt this year not only because brothers are the best pairs in hockey but they compliment each other. It was great to interview Josh and without any further delays here it is!

1. What are you most looking forward to this season with the Maulers?

JC:  Uh, just the crowd here. My brother told me some stories about how loud it gets here and I'm pretty excited

2. What do you expect to bring to the team this year?

JC: Goal scoring. It's kinda my thing and assists here and there

3. What age did you start playing?

JC: I started playing when I was 2 and 1/2 and was on my first team when I was 4

4. Other than hockey what are your hobbies/things you like to do outside the rink?

JC: I like to hang out with the boys and play lacrosse

5. Is there anything you would like to tell the fans?

JC: Be here Friday and Saturday night! [This past weekend]

JC: Hopefully playing college hockey somewhere or possibly a higher junior level

7. Who is your favorite NHL team and player?

JC: My favorite NHL team is the Detroit Red Wings and my favorite player is probably Pavel Datsyuk

8. What do you enjoy most about Missoula?

JC: Probably just the crowd here. It's fun and exciting. I like the school I go to and all that

9. Goon, Slapshot, or Miracle?

JC: Miracle has to be my favorite yup

10. If you had to compare yourself to any NHL player who would it be (and why?)

JC: I'd probably have to say Rick Nash. Big guy, pretty good.

11. Do you have any pregame rituals or songs?

JC: I have a playlist that I always listen to and not really any rituals. I just get ready for the game, focus up

12. Who is the best travel partner?

JC: My favorite travel partner so far has to be Henrik. He's a funny guy

13. If you had to pair up a villain and a superhero on the team who would it be?

JC: The villain would have to be "THE" Corey Schafer and the hero has to be probably my brother Matt Chamberlain. Have to give him a shout out

14. Best dressed?

JC: Ohh, best dressed has to go to the Swedes. They brought style over seas. They are looking very nice everyday. They're rocking the jorts on a daily basis!

15. Favorite hockey memory?

JC: Umm probably the state championships I won, going to Nationals was pretty amazing

16. Worst locker room experience?

JC: The worst locker room experience. that's probably going to have to go back in peewee days with Tanner Moyer. That guy haha

17. Who is the team's player that best embodies the junior lifestyle?

JC: Corey Schafer, "THE" Corey Schafer

18. If you had to be stranded on a desert island with anyone in the world who would it be?

JC: It would have to be with the boys!

As you can see by Josh's answers, he is definitely one of the funniest guys on the team. Another for sure crowd pleaser! It was great to sit down and talk with Josh and it was even more exciting to see him play over the weekend!

Fight of the Year Biscuits and Breezers        Before I move on to anymore news, I wanted to feature a fight that I think should be up for a fight of the year in the WSHL. This scrap was between a beast from Missoula and a goon from Seattle. That's right Austin Azzinnaro and Piers LaFrance battled it out in Missoula's last home game and it was amazing. You should have seen these two go at it! It was a complete yard sale of mitts, twigs, and buckets, and by the time Auzzie was done with the Totem, LaFrance was thrown out of the rink looking like he had just met Ross "The Boss" Rhea from Goon. Azzinnaro was ejected in pure beauty style; waving to the roaring fans, excited as can be, and pumped for another round. It was an absolutely incredible fight and I have never seen a junior fight go down as sweet as that one did. Not to mention this was Austin's first tilly! He is a born fighter and obviously it comes by him naturally because the skills he ha
Jamie Zaleski Biscuits and Breezers    Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! Today you will be able to meet and get to know FHL Danville Dashers center Jamie Zaleski a little bit better. You don't come across a player very often that is so passionate about the sport that he takes immense pride in every game he plays or every time he represents his team, but today I believe I was able to talk to one of those chosen few. Jamie is an amazing player who beams passion and talent every time he walks onto the ice for a game and when you see him play, I guarantee that by the end of the game you will be as stunned as I was when I first watched a Dashers game. Zaleski is the perfect player seeing that he has the ideal combinations of aggressive and physical plays, speed, and can score whenever it needs be. I have seen some pretty aggressive players in my time but Jamie Zaleski is the definition of aggression out on the ice. His hits are almost always cle
