NHL AWARDS NIGHT RESULTS

Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! Since the buzz in the hockey world is getting ready for the Draft and the 2012-2013 regular season and contracts are being signed and negotiated, there is not much going on but I will keep you guys informed on all and any hockey news that comes up in the summer and the blogs will get closer together and more packed with the start of the pre-season schedule which is going to be September 24th for the Pittsburgh Penguins against the Columbus Blue Jackets, just so all of my Penguins fans know!!! As you all know the NHL Awards were yesterday and there were many winners and memeorable moments. For example we had Henrik Lundqvist's f-bomb in his Vezina Trophy speech, Evgeni Malkin's touching speeches for all three of the trophies he won, Claude Giroux winning the NHL 13 vote, Shane Doan, Mike Fisher, and Daniel Alfredsson being recognized for their great acts of kindness in the hockey world and in their communities, Will Arnett's skit on Brendan Shanahan's penalty giving, and finally, no one being able to pronounce Geno's name! It was quite a night!! Here are the results of the winners just in case you missed the show:
Norris Trophy: Erik Karlsson
Hart Trophy: Evgeni Malkin
Vezina Trophy: Henrik Lundqvist
Selke Trophy: Patrice Bergeron
Mark Messier Leadership Award: Shane Doan

Jamie Zaleski Biscuits and Breezers    Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! Today you will be able to meet and get to know FHL Danville Dashers center Jamie Zaleski a little bit better. You don't come across a player very often that is so passionate about the sport that he takes immense pride in every game he plays or every time he represents his team, but today I believe I was able to talk to one of those chosen few. Jamie is an amazing player who beams passion and talent every time he walks onto the ice for a game and when you see him play, I guarantee that by the end of the game you will be as stunned as I was when I first watched a Dashers game. Zaleski is the perfect player seeing that he has the ideal combinations of aggressive and physical plays, speed, and can score whenever it needs be. I have seen some pretty aggressive players in my time but Jamie Zaleski is the definition of aggression out on the ice. His hits are almost alway...
#3 Biscuits and Breezers Welcome back to Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog, we will be discussing the Washington vs. New York series and the St. Louis vs. Los Angeles series. Starting off with the Washington vs. New York series. With the series now tied at 2-2, Washington Capital’s Captain Alexander Ovechkin and the rest of the Capitals seemed very pleased with the Game 4 win of 3-2. The Rangers are becoming more and more frustrated with the way the series took a turn after Game 3 when the game went into triple overtime, Rangers winning with a goal from Marian Gaborik at 14:41 in the tiring overtime. He made a goal past Capital’s goalie Braden Holtby with a wrist shot of 13 feet. The goal was assisted by Brad Richards and Daniel Giardi.   In Game 4 the Capitals had goals from Captain Alexander Ovechkin; center Nicklas Backstrom, and defenseman Mike Green. Green had previously been out 50 games with a right ankle injury and then an abdominal injury that required surgery. The ...
