Welcome back to another blog for Biscuits and Breezers! This blog is another piece in the Spotlight Player series, and this time, the player is absolutely taking the WSHL by storm. He is showing great promise within the season already and he has proven to be an incredibly solid player. He adds a great quality of strength and intimidation to the realm of players in WSHL's Northwest division. Your next Spotlight Player is Southern Oregon Spartans forward Anton Bokull!

Junior players are always trying to bring as much strength to the ice as possible, but when you play against Bokull, you are skating against a player who packs a rocket behind his shot as well as an abundance of power. Anton is an absolute beast of a player to watch during matches because he knows what he needs to get done during shifts and he knows that, no matter what he is challenged by, he is going to have his goals met. Bokull is basically a brick wall during games and his presence in any rink is known by the time he steps off the bus or on the ice for warm ups. Bokull has created quite the playing style for himself by combining the well known element of power with a fantastic scoring touch. When Anton steps on the ice, he means business and part of that business is keeping the puck in his opponents' zone as much as he possibly can. He has a great structure he has built his playing career on and it is very clear that he is always pushing himself beyond his limitations and beyond the expectations that have been laid upon him. You will almost always find Anton out defending his team or positively steam rolling through his shifts. The Southern Oregon Spartans have always had a notorious edge to their roster, and with the addition of Bokull earlier this season, he has certainly sharpened that edge. Not only does Anton play a very clean game, he has many layers within it that prove his skill level to be complex and forward thinking. He adds quite the spark to the ice when his line is on a shift and is always willing to help out in any way he can. Anton will help rush the puck, he will work the boards to aid his team mates, and he will dangle coast to coast in order to push his team to the finish line. Anton may be a wolf of a player but his love for the game and his passion for the sport shine through every time he is able to gear up and play the game that he loves. You will always see Anton giving 120% and giving the game as much as he can. He is a great player to bring on to a roster because he gives any team strong structure due to his unrelenting ambition and his ability to stay whole under pressure. Bokull is a very versatile thinking skater and has no problem switching from defense to offense and vice versa. He definitely brings wit and cleverness to the ice which pairs very well with his high hockey intelligence. Anton certainly embodies the Spartan mentality which would be (in a round about way of things) fear none, respect all, and play with all your might. Best of luck Anton with the Spartans as well as your future hockey career!

Spotlight Player Emil Travergard       Biscuits and Breezers         Welcome back to another blog for Biscuits and Breezers! This is another post for the Spotlight Player series, and the player featured today, is a prime example of the defensive qualities that are capable in blue liners. Trending on an upward slope, this particular player brings fire to the ice as well as quite the chill. He may be an independent skater, but he is almost always his team's biggest supporter in the long run. The next Spotlight Player is Haninge Anchors defenseman Emil Travergard!     Emil Travergard - Haninge Anchors (D)   Height: 6 ft 2 in  Weight:  215 lbs Hometown: Stockholm, Sweden 2013-2014 Stats: 1 goal in 23 games played, 3 assists, 4 TPs, and 14 PIMs with Hammarby J20         While watching Travergard on the ice during his stay in the WSHL, he certainly brought a spar...
Jamie Zaleski Biscuits and Breezers    Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! Today you will be able to meet and get to know FHL Danville Dashers center Jamie Zaleski a little bit better. You don't come across a player very often that is so passionate about the sport that he takes immense pride in every game he plays or every time he represents his team, but today I believe I was able to talk to one of those chosen few. Jamie is an amazing player who beams passion and talent every time he walks onto the ice for a game and when you see him play, I guarantee that by the end of the game you will be as stunned as I was when I first watched a Dashers game. Zaleski is the perfect player seeing that he has the ideal combinations of aggressive and physical plays, speed, and can score whenever it needs be. I have seen some pretty aggressive players in my time but Jamie Zaleski is the definition of aggression out on the ice. His hits are almost alway...
#32   Biscuits and Breezers          Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog we will talk about the Oilers' team regrowth and Wild prospect Mario Lucia breaking his leg. Starting off with the Edmonton Oilers. I have recently talked about Taylor Hall's signing and now we have another. This time it's Jordan Eberle's turn. He was just inked to a 6 year $36 million contract extension on Tuesday. With one year left on his entry level contract, this extension will keep him as the new youthful generation of players until the 2018-2019 season. Hopefully with Nail Yakupov, Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, they can produce a team almost as good as in the Gretzky era. Just give them a few years and maybe they will rise up and become a main threat again. We will see! Good luck Jordan with the new contract! I am quite excited to see the upcoming team.     Next thing we will talk about is Ma...
