Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! The Spotlight Player  I have for you all this time is an absolute beast on the ice. He is the WSHL's 2nd overall lead scorer averaging two points per game and has become a goalie's worst nightmare. He has absolute control over any ice he plays on and has certainly become one of the Western State's most talented skaters over the last few seasons. Your next Spotlight Player review is for Long Beach Bombers forward Tomas Nemeth!

Tomas Nemeth - Long Beach Bombers (F)

Height: 6 ft 1 in Weight: 190 lbs Hometown: Pezinok, Slovakia 2014-2015 Stats: 42 goals in 46 games played, 58 assists, 100 TPs, 18 PIMs, and 4 game winning goals

Throughout the '14-'15 season, there were many ups and downs for every organization, but fortunately for the Long Beach Bombers, Tomas Nemeth was at the forefront of the team's progression throughout the year. Game after game, Nemeth brought an immense combination of power and skill to ice sheets all throughout the American Southwestern region and showed what the product of hard work and dedication looks like. Luckily with one year of juniors left, Tomas has transformed himself into a certain NAHL call up and has set himself on a fast track of years of college and or professional hockey to come. From what I have observed this season, Tomas is everything a coach could ask for and then more. With each shift, he brings an enormous game to the ice and keeps his opponents on their toes at all times. Nemeth has incredibly advanced skills in the puck handling area and has created quite the persona for himself imaging a young Alexander Ovechkin. Both skaters can create incredible dangles, game changing plays, as well as bringing immense presences on the ice. Nemeth will take the ice time he receives and has the ability to absolutely control the entire rink. Not only does he have his opponents take a second look, he is a skater goaltenders need to pay special attention to. Tomas is the type of skater goaltenders have to adapt to as early on in the game as possible, because if they don't, there is basically no chance of stopping any play he puts forward. He can change his tune on the turn of a dime and any goaltender better be prepared for what he might bring. Tomas has many indicators of how he will proceed with the biscuit, but seeing the game as a mental puzzle, it is for opposing skaters and coaches to figure out what is reality and what is illusion. Going back to the topic of coaches, not only is Nemeth a prime example of what the guys behind the bench look for, but he is also an example of a player that all teams train off of. He simultaneously tests not only the netminders, but the speed and wit of his opponents and the adaptability of any roster. It is very evident that Nemeth's personal game is ever-changing and evolving, but one thing remains clear; it is always becoming bigger, or better, faster, or stronger. He always strives to have one of the top styles of play of any player he will come up against, and frankly, shows fear to no one. At this point, Nemeth certainly possesses a game that would fit perfectly into the intense and fast paced world of the North American Hockey League, and if all the cards are played right, he should be there in no time. In his final year of junior eligibility, Nemeth should certainly embody the lion of a player that he is and bring the claws and teeth out for a six month long battle. Can he go three seasons beating the 100 point mark? Good luck Tomas with the Bombers and your future hockey career!

Spotlight Player Emil Travergard       Biscuits and Breezers         Welcome back to another blog for Biscuits and Breezers! This is another post for the Spotlight Player series, and the player featured today, is a prime example of the defensive qualities that are capable in blue liners. Trending on an upward slope, this particular player brings fire to the ice as well as quite the chill. He may be an independent skater, but he is almost always his team's biggest supporter in the long run. The next Spotlight Player is Haninge Anchors defenseman Emil Travergard!     Emil Travergard - Haninge Anchors (D)   Height: 6 ft 2 in  Weight:  215 lbs Hometown: Stockholm, Sweden 2013-2014 Stats: 1 goal in 23 games played, 3 assists, 4 TPs, and 14 PIMs with Hammarby J20         While watching Travergard on the ice during his stay in the WSHL, he certainly brought a spar...
Jamie Zaleski Biscuits and Breezers    Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! Today you will be able to meet and get to know FHL Danville Dashers center Jamie Zaleski a little bit better. You don't come across a player very often that is so passionate about the sport that he takes immense pride in every game he plays or every time he represents his team, but today I believe I was able to talk to one of those chosen few. Jamie is an amazing player who beams passion and talent every time he walks onto the ice for a game and when you see him play, I guarantee that by the end of the game you will be as stunned as I was when I first watched a Dashers game. Zaleski is the perfect player seeing that he has the ideal combinations of aggressive and physical plays, speed, and can score whenever it needs be. I have seen some pretty aggressive players in my time but Jamie Zaleski is the definition of aggression out on the ice. His hits are almost alway...
#3 Biscuits and Breezers Welcome back to Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog, we will be discussing the Washington vs. New York series and the St. Louis vs. Los Angeles series. Starting off with the Washington vs. New York series. With the series now tied at 2-2, Washington Capital’s Captain Alexander Ovechkin and the rest of the Capitals seemed very pleased with the Game 4 win of 3-2. The Rangers are becoming more and more frustrated with the way the series took a turn after Game 3 when the game went into triple overtime, Rangers winning with a goal from Marian Gaborik at 14:41 in the tiring overtime. He made a goal past Capital’s goalie Braden Holtby with a wrist shot of 13 feet. The goal was assisted by Brad Richards and Daniel Giardi.   In Game 4 the Capitals had goals from Captain Alexander Ovechkin; center Nicklas Backstrom, and defenseman Mike Green. Green had previously been out 50 games with a right ankle injury and then an abdominal injury that required surgery. The ...
