Welcome back to another blog for Biscuits and Breezers! This post is another segment for the Spotlight Player series, and this time, what a player I've got for you all this time. This player will go to the ends of the earth and back for his team. He will push through any situation to see his team become successful at the end of the night. This particular skater plays with immense passion and it is seen in every one of his games. The next Spotlight Player is Whitefish Wolverines forward Danny Roe!

There are many types of players within every roster but only once in a while you will find guys that play with a level passion for the game that is so intense that it carries them through any situation on the ice. They celly with the biggest expressions and they fight with pure fury. This would be Danny Roe. Roe has many impeccable features in his game but one of the most prominent ones would be his ability to carry his team on his back at any given time. Danny is wickedly smart and can break any play down block and block and execute it as quickly and as efficiently as he can. Danny understands that a player has to prove himself every shift and he is always putting in as much work as possible into his games. Roe would be a great example of a skater who is incredibly self reliant and who isn't going to let someone win his games for him. Danny will play through any ache or pain solely for the moment where his team is called out as the victors at the end of the night. He is definitely a one of a kind player due the fact that he gives every thing to his team and expects little in return. He is the type of player that you show his game clips to bantam or peewee players to teach them to play for the love and respect of the game instead of the name on stitched onto the back of the jersey. Danny is definitely a player that you notice from the stands due to his unrelenting ambition, his endless supply of energy, and determination to still be standing the tallest of them all at the end of the night. Looking at his technical strengths, Danny is very strong with his puck movement and has a fantastic fluidity when he is handling the biscuit. He knows exactly what must be done, when it has to be done, and how it must be executed. He also has a great pair of skates under him. Roe is quick on the ice and will play any zone with ease. He isn't the most aggressive player you will see on the ice, but that doesn't mean he isn't throwing in a few great defensive moves here and there. When need be, Roe can absolutely rattle the boards or take on any opposing skater toe-to-toe. There is definitely fire in the eyes of this skater. As I was mentioning before, it is very obvious just from the time he takes the ice for warm ups, Danny has a very high hockey intelligence as well as a very tight grasp of the workings of the sport. Roe is the player you notice right away before the game and he is the number everyone remembers when he steps off the ice. He proves that with hard work and perseverance, anything can be achieved. Best of luck Danny with the Wolverines and the rest of your hockey career!

Spotlight Player Emil Travergard       Biscuits and Breezers         Welcome back to another blog for Biscuits and Breezers! This is another post for the Spotlight Player series, and the player featured today, is a prime example of the defensive qualities that are capable in blue liners. Trending on an upward slope, this particular player brings fire to the ice as well as quite the chill. He may be an independent skater, but he is almost always his team's biggest supporter in the long run. The next Spotlight Player is Haninge Anchors defenseman Emil Travergard!     Emil Travergard - Haninge Anchors (D)   Height: 6 ft 2 in  Weight:  215 lbs Hometown: Stockholm, Sweden 2013-2014 Stats: 1 goal in 23 games played, 3 assists, 4 TPs, and 14 PIMs with Hammarby J20         While watching Travergard on the ice during his stay in the WSHL, he certainly brought a spar...
Jamie Zaleski Biscuits and Breezers    Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! Today you will be able to meet and get to know FHL Danville Dashers center Jamie Zaleski a little bit better. You don't come across a player very often that is so passionate about the sport that he takes immense pride in every game he plays or every time he represents his team, but today I believe I was able to talk to one of those chosen few. Jamie is an amazing player who beams passion and talent every time he walks onto the ice for a game and when you see him play, I guarantee that by the end of the game you will be as stunned as I was when I first watched a Dashers game. Zaleski is the perfect player seeing that he has the ideal combinations of aggressive and physical plays, speed, and can score whenever it needs be. I have seen some pretty aggressive players in my time but Jamie Zaleski is the definition of aggression out on the ice. His hits are almost alway...
#3 Biscuits and Breezers Welcome back to Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog, we will be discussing the Washington vs. New York series and the St. Louis vs. Los Angeles series. Starting off with the Washington vs. New York series. With the series now tied at 2-2, Washington Capital’s Captain Alexander Ovechkin and the rest of the Capitals seemed very pleased with the Game 4 win of 3-2. The Rangers are becoming more and more frustrated with the way the series took a turn after Game 3 when the game went into triple overtime, Rangers winning with a goal from Marian Gaborik at 14:41 in the tiring overtime. He made a goal past Capital’s goalie Braden Holtby with a wrist shot of 13 feet. The goal was assisted by Brad Richards and Daniel Giardi.   In Game 4 the Capitals had goals from Captain Alexander Ovechkin; center Nicklas Backstrom, and defenseman Mike Green. Green had previously been out 50 games with a right ankle injury and then an abdominal injury that required surgery. The ...
