After reportedly taking Zyrtec-D for sinusitis, Nicklas failed the drug test due to high amount of psueudoephedrine. Pseueudoephedrine is neither a performance enhancing drug nor is it banned in the NHL. Sebastian Gronborg Biscuits and Breezers    Working with multiple junior teams, a writer can meet hundreds of players and many stick out as ones you believe will go far, but then once every couple of seasons you meet a player you know without a doubt is going to the top and beyond. You know that they have so much potential in hockey that they stun you every night they are on the ice. Well, I believe I have met that rare and jaw-dropping player. Sebastian Gronborg from Nykoping, Sweden. I have personally watched him play multiple times and talked with him quite a bit and every time he is in that cage you can see fiery passion burn in his eyes that can only be settled down by a victory. He knows what his limits are and each game he goes out there and tries to push them farther. His passion for the game and his intensity in the net is outstanding. Cody Janzen: Interview Biscuits and Breezers    Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! I was able to catch up with goaltender Cody Janzen at a skate with the players event on the 14th and got a very in-depth interview about the up and coming WSHL playoffs and being on a team with 3 tendys. I love talking with Janzen because he gives great responses and gives a very descriptive look into the life of a goaltender. I reviewed Cody last week in one of the regular blogs as one of the "Players of Today" and now he is back for you to meet him one more time. (Credit to jpsphotos.net)   Cody is a phenomenal goaltender whose strengths come from a will to push forward and a drive to succeed. It is unbelievable at what he can accomplish because no matter how he performs in net that night, Cody is already looking forward to the next game he is put in. Sochi Hockey Updates 2/14/14 Biscuits and Breezers    Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! This blog will be all about Sochi Olympic Hockey! Some stats will be involved, player updates, scores so far for the games that started on the 12th, and some things going on outside of the games in the Olympic Village! (Credit from Pinterest via Twitter)      As you can see from the picture above, Henrik Zetterberg team captain of Team Sweden, will be out for the rest of the Olympics due to a herniated disc in his back. He has scored one goal in the game against the Czechs on Wednesday since arriving in Russia on the 12th but missed practice on Thursday. Zetterberg was treated with anti-inflammatories to try and settle down the pain but unfortunately that did not succeed. I have been very interested them for quiet a while and am very thrilled with their  products. This company was jump started by a couple of hockey players, especially Brian Jenson, and they are quickly expanding. Currently they have their products in hockey stores across western Canada, Total Hockey outlets, Top Shelf hockey, HockeyMonkey.com,  Monkey Sports Superstore, and many more stores across the nation. I am hoping that they expand to Europe and grow as a business because they have quite the potential to do so. In the future they could even rival Gongshow, Howies Hockey Tape, and many more. #97 Biscuits and Breezers     Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog we will be talking about Kris Letang's recent health scare, some Olympic news, and Emelin's fine for butt-ending. It has been quite a busy week since the 2014 Sochi Olympics have started and many Olympians have already achieved their golden dreams. The weather isn't the only thing heating up as rivalries continue to get stretched to their limits. Women's hockey is doing very well for all countries and men's is set to start in about 2 days. Starting with the Olympic news, both Koivu and Filppula have been scratched for Team Finland only days before they were set to play at the Bolshoy Arena. Mikko Koivu has decided that his right ankle, that recently underwent surgery to repair it, has not healed enough to allow him to play comfortably in Sochi. His ankle was broken on January 4th blocking a shot and had surgery on January 6th. Finland has also ...

#96 Biscuits and Breezers     Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! It is almost time for the Olympics to start and we all know what that means. Major victories, minor upsets, and the quest for gold. News is going to be very limited over the next couple of weeks but I promise to keep you all updated at what is going on seeing that the junior leagues are about to go into their playoff runs and there will be non-stop Sochi updates for ice hockey starting on the 12th. The news for today is as follows: Canada's roster switch right before it's time to head over to Russia, Patrick Kane's absence following his grandfather's death, and a few Sochi updates! #95 Biscuits and Breezers     Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog we will be talking about Semyon Varlamov's contract extension with the Avalanche, the Blues' Sobotka will miss out on the Olympics, Team USA's captains were named, and Edmonton's Ben Scrivens' amazing 59 shot shut out. I think we will start with Vladimir Sobotka! Forward for the St. Louis Blues and previously Team Czech Republic, Vladimir Sobotka will unfortunately have to be cut from the Czech's Olympic roster due to a left leg injury. He will be re-evaluated in 4 weeks time but that means he will have to watch his fellow countrymen participating in Sochi without him. This is saddening because this would have been his first Olympic appearance and he would have been an important asset to the ever changing Czech line up.
