Welcome back to another Meet your Maulers! In this blog you will get to meet veteran defenseman #2 Niko Pukkila! Niko is 6 ft 0 in, 205 lbs, is from Post Falls, Idaho, USA, and is a '94. He played for the Maulers in the 2012-2013 season while Missoula was still in the AWHL. During that season, Niko had 0 goals in 32 games played, 5 assists, 5 TPs, a +/- of 11, and 41 PIMs. I am very enthused that Niko is back on the roster this year because, in my opinion, he one of the best kinds of defenseman. He is tough, physical, and isn't afraid to get aggressive out on the ice. I think that he should be a great asset for the Maulers because he can stand up and protect the other players, stand his ground during plays, and will bring a bigger more physical game to a league that is generally very aggressive. I watched him play through the Totems, Knights, and Mustangs series and I thought the performance level was very high. He had quick swift hits, quick skates, and tape-to-tape passes. I think that he will be very good for the Maulers in the upcoming series against the Southern Oregon Spartans because I know for a fact that the Spartans are a hard hitting team and are incredibly physical. Hopefully he can produce some huge checks in Medford, Oregon. I had the great pleasure of interviewing him at the rink 2 or 3 weeks ago along with Z and Nikita and here is what he had to say!

Spotlight Player Emil Travergard       Biscuits and Breezers         Welcome back to another blog for Biscuits and Breezers! This is another post for the Spotlight Player series, and the player featured today, is a prime example of the defensive qualities that are capable in blue liners. Trending on an upward slope, this particular player brings fire to the ice as well as quite the chill. He may be an independent skater, but he is almost always his team's biggest supporter in the long run. The next Spotlight Player is Haninge Anchors defenseman Emil Travergard!     Emil Travergard - Haninge Anchors (D)   Height: 6 ft 2 in  Weight:  215 lbs Hometown: Stockholm, Sweden 2013-2014 Stats: 1 goal in 23 games played, 3 assists, 4 TPs, and 14 PIMs with Hammarby J20         While watching Travergard on the ice during his stay in the WSHL, he certainly brought a spar...
Jamie Zaleski Biscuits and Breezers    Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! Today you will be able to meet and get to know FHL Danville Dashers center Jamie Zaleski a little bit better. You don't come across a player very often that is so passionate about the sport that he takes immense pride in every game he plays or every time he represents his team, but today I believe I was able to talk to one of those chosen few. Jamie is an amazing player who beams passion and talent every time he walks onto the ice for a game and when you see him play, I guarantee that by the end of the game you will be as stunned as I was when I first watched a Dashers game. Zaleski is the perfect player seeing that he has the ideal combinations of aggressive and physical plays, speed, and can score whenever it needs be. I have seen some pretty aggressive players in my time but Jamie Zaleski is the definition of aggression out on the ice. His hits are almost alway...
#3 Biscuits and Breezers Welcome back to Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog, we will be discussing the Washington vs. New York series and the St. Louis vs. Los Angeles series. Starting off with the Washington vs. New York series. With the series now tied at 2-2, Washington Capital’s Captain Alexander Ovechkin and the rest of the Capitals seemed very pleased with the Game 4 win of 3-2. The Rangers are becoming more and more frustrated with the way the series took a turn after Game 3 when the game went into triple overtime, Rangers winning with a goal from Marian Gaborik at 14:41 in the tiring overtime. He made a goal past Capital’s goalie Braden Holtby with a wrist shot of 13 feet. The goal was assisted by Brad Richards and Daniel Giardi.   In Game 4 the Capitals had goals from Captain Alexander Ovechkin; center Nicklas Backstrom, and defenseman Mike Green. Green had previously been out 50 games with a right ankle injury and then an abdominal injury that required surgery. The ...
