Welcome back to another blog of Meet your Maulers! The next player we have is goaltender #1 Sebastian Gronborg. He is 5 ft 9 in, 165 lbs, and is from Nykoping, Sweden. I am very happy and excited that Sebastian is going to play in Missoula this year because he is an incredibly talented tendy. I have previously written about him and that is all for good reason. His butterflies are amazing, Sebastian has great glove catches, and is very attentive to everything out on the ice. He has great style and form in the net as well. Sebastian and I have been talking for some time ever since he arrived in the USA and getting to know him has been great! It was a pleasure to have an interview with him and I think that this major Rangers fan will be one of the highlights of the 2013-2014 season. As I said before the Maulers have their own personal Henrik Lundqvist. This blog has a reputation for working with Swedish players and Sebastian is definitely one of the next ones to be featured on here! Without further ado here is the interview!

1. What are you most looking forward to with the Maulers this season?

SG: To play for the fans

2. What do you expect to bring to the team this year?

SG: Bring much routine to the team because I am old and to help out the younger boys

3. What age did you start playing?

SG: When I was 5 or 6 years old

4. Other than hockey what are your hobbies/things you like to do outside the rink?

SG: Play golf, be with friends, and workout

5. Who is your favorite NHL team and player?

SG: The Rangers and Henrik Lundqvist of course!

6. Is there anything you would like to tell the fans?

SG: Come and watch us play!

7. Where do you see yourself in hockey in the next five years?

SG: Hopeful that I go pro in Norway or that I play college here, something like that

8. What do you enjoy most about Missoula so far?

SG: I love it here, good place to live. It is nice with the mountains and great city

9. Goon, Slapshot, or Miracle?

SG: Miracle

10. If you had to compare yourself to any NHL player past or present who would it be?

SG: Some people tell me I look like Henrik Lundqvist sometimes but I try to mix it up, look at everybody, and do some stuff they do

11. Do you have pregame songs or rituals?

SG: I always warm up at the same time and the same warm up and always start with the right first

12. Best travel partner?

SG: I don't know, hard to tell

13. Who would be a villain/superhero pair on the team?

SG: Superhero maybe Anders Nord and the villain Mason Jones

14. Best dressed?

SG: The Swedes, of course

15. What is your favorite hockey memory?

SG: It was last year we had to play in the playoffs for Division 1 and my team met my home team where I am from and it was nice to play against them in front of 600 people. Did you win? No we lost 2-1 but I took 45 shots so I was happy.

16. What is your worst locker room experience?

SG: Haha, everything stays in the locker room, nothing outside

17. Who is the team's player that best embodies the junior lifestyle?

SG: Maybe Corey Schafer or Connor McNally

18. If you had to be stranded on a desert island with someone, who would it be?

SG: I think Jennifer Lopez

19. What is the biggest difference between Swedish and North American hockey for you?

20. What do you miss about home?

SG: Swedish Meatballs

SG: No, not yet

As you can see, Sebastian will be one of the ones to watch! Thank you so much for having this interview with me, it was very fun! Good luck this season Gronborg and hopefully we can get you to Madison Square Garden soon!

Spotlight Player Emil Travergard       Biscuits and Breezers         Welcome back to another blog for Biscuits and Breezers! This is another post for the Spotlight Player series, and the player featured today, is a prime example of the defensive qualities that are capable in blue liners. Trending on an upward slope, this particular player brings fire to the ice as well as quite the chill. He may be an independent skater, but he is almost always his team's biggest supporter in the long run. The next Spotlight Player is Haninge Anchors defenseman Emil Travergard!     Emil Travergard - Haninge Anchors (D)   Height: 6 ft 2 in  Weight:  215 lbs Hometown: Stockholm, Sweden 2013-2014 Stats: 1 goal in 23 games played, 3 assists, 4 TPs, and 14 PIMs with Hammarby J20         While watching Travergard on the ice during his stay in the WSHL, he certainly brought a spar...
Jamie Zaleski Biscuits and Breezers    Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! Today you will be able to meet and get to know FHL Danville Dashers center Jamie Zaleski a little bit better. You don't come across a player very often that is so passionate about the sport that he takes immense pride in every game he plays or every time he represents his team, but today I believe I was able to talk to one of those chosen few. Jamie is an amazing player who beams passion and talent every time he walks onto the ice for a game and when you see him play, I guarantee that by the end of the game you will be as stunned as I was when I first watched a Dashers game. Zaleski is the perfect player seeing that he has the ideal combinations of aggressive and physical plays, speed, and can score whenever it needs be. I have seen some pretty aggressive players in my time but Jamie Zaleski is the definition of aggression out on the ice. His hits are almost alway...
#32   Biscuits and Breezers          Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog we will talk about the Oilers' team regrowth and Wild prospect Mario Lucia breaking his leg. Starting off with the Edmonton Oilers. I have recently talked about Taylor Hall's signing and now we have another. This time it's Jordan Eberle's turn. He was just inked to a 6 year $36 million contract extension on Tuesday. With one year left on his entry level contract, this extension will keep him as the new youthful generation of players until the 2018-2019 season. Hopefully with Nail Yakupov, Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, they can produce a team almost as good as in the Gretzky era. Just give them a few years and maybe they will rise up and become a main threat again. We will see! Good luck Jordan with the new contract! I am quite excited to see the upcoming team.     Next thing we will talk about is Ma...
