Biscuits and Breezers

Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! As you all know, I am working on juniorhockey.com promoting players and teams from many junior leagues around the country. So in turn, this called for a change in how Biscuits and Breezers is written. If you take a look around the hockey world there are many many leagues to promote and many people love to hear about the happenings in leagues all over Europe and in even Australia. With some thought and quite a bit of input from all of the amazing people from the Biscuits and Breezers Facebook page, here are the new leagues I will be covering on Biscuits and Breezers! The leagues are the: KHL, NHL, SPHL, SHL, SM-Liiga, ECHL, AHL, AIHL, and EIHL (and a few updates on the USHL.) Every blog I put out I will rotate each league so there will be 5 different league updates in one blog and 5 different league updates in the next. I feel that this will fill the need that Biscuits and Breezers has since junior hockey news will rarely be included on here. I hope you all enjoy the new content on here and like it as much as the original format! Thank you all for sticking with me during these times of subtle change and I promise I will keep you up to date on all leagues involved with breaking news, player updates, team standings, and more!

Spotlight Player Emil Travergard       Biscuits and Breezers         Welcome back to another blog for Biscuits and Breezers! This is another post for the Spotlight Player series, and the player featured today, is a prime example of the defensive qualities that are capable in blue liners. Trending on an upward slope, this particular player brings fire to the ice as well as quite the chill. He may be an independent skater, but he is almost always his team's biggest supporter in the long run. The next Spotlight Player is Haninge Anchors defenseman Emil Travergard!     Emil Travergard - Haninge Anchors (D)   Height: 6 ft 2 in  Weight:  215 lbs Hometown: Stockholm, Sweden 2013-2014 Stats: 1 goal in 23 games played, 3 assists, 4 TPs, and 14 PIMs with Hammarby J20         While watching Travergard on the ice during his stay in the WSHL, he certainly brought a spar...
Jamie Zaleski Biscuits and Breezers    Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! Today you will be able to meet and get to know FHL Danville Dashers center Jamie Zaleski a little bit better. You don't come across a player very often that is so passionate about the sport that he takes immense pride in every game he plays or every time he represents his team, but today I believe I was able to talk to one of those chosen few. Jamie is an amazing player who beams passion and talent every time he walks onto the ice for a game and when you see him play, I guarantee that by the end of the game you will be as stunned as I was when I first watched a Dashers game. Zaleski is the perfect player seeing that he has the ideal combinations of aggressive and physical plays, speed, and can score whenever it needs be. I have seen some pretty aggressive players in my time but Jamie Zaleski is the definition of aggression out on the ice. His hits are almost alway...
#32   Biscuits and Breezers          Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog we will talk about the Oilers' team regrowth and Wild prospect Mario Lucia breaking his leg. Starting off with the Edmonton Oilers. I have recently talked about Taylor Hall's signing and now we have another. This time it's Jordan Eberle's turn. He was just inked to a 6 year $36 million contract extension on Tuesday. With one year left on his entry level contract, this extension will keep him as the new youthful generation of players until the 2018-2019 season. Hopefully with Nail Yakupov, Taylor Hall, Jordan Eberle, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, they can produce a team almost as good as in the Gretzky era. Just give them a few years and maybe they will rise up and become a main threat again. We will see! Good luck Jordan with the new contract! I am quite excited to see the upcoming team.     Next thing we will talk about is Ma...
