#20 Biscuits and Breezers        Welcome to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! So with the 2011-2012 hockey season coming to a close, there will not be much to blog about but I will make sure there will be! I have also stopped the player reviews until next season, sorry but there is just not enough to write about and have them on here. August or September should be the first months that the player reviews come back. That is just an FYI for all my lovely viewers! Anyway, who saw the draft!?! I was very surprised when some of my favorite picks didn't go till the third, fourth, or even fifth rounds! As everyone expected Nail Yakupov went first to the Oilers, Ryan Murray went second to the Columbus Blue Jackets, and Alex Galchenyuk went third to the Montreal Canadiens. As you all now I am a gigantic Penguins fan and I would like to take a moment and welcome the new Ptitsburgh Penguins Derrick Pouliot drafted 8th, Olli Maatta drafted 22nd, Theodor Blueger drafted 52nd, Oskar S
NHL AWARDS NIGHT RESULTS       Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! Since the buzz in the hockey world is getting ready for the Draft and the 2012-2013 regular season and contracts are being signed and negotiated, there is not much going on but I will keep you guys informed on all and any hockey news that comes up in the summer and the blogs will get closer together and more packed with the start of the pre-season schedule which is going to be September 24th for the Pittsburgh Penguins against the Columbus Blue Jackets, just so all of my Penguins fans know!!! As you all know the NHL Awards were yesterday and there were many winners and memeorable moments. For example we had Henrik Lundqvist's f-bomb in his Vezina Trophy speech, Evgeni Malkin's touching speeches for all three of the trophies he won, Claude Giroux winning the NHL 13 vote, Shane Doan, Mike Fisher, and Daniel Alfredsson being recognized for their great acts of kindness in the hockey w
#19 Biscuits and Breezers            Welcome to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! Since the 2011-2012 NHL season is officially closed and done we will be talking about a few different things like the draft, Awards Night, and just buzz around the NHL community! In this blog we will be talking about Anaheim's contract deal, Dallas' contract deal, and Scandinavian Hockey Consulting's player move to California. Starting off with Anaheim. The Anaheim Ducks have just signed a three year entry-level contract with Swedish left wing Max Friberg. Max was selected 5th round 143 overall in the 2011 NHL Draft and represented Team Sweden in the 2011 and 2012 World Junior Championships. He is a native of Skovde, Sweden and is 5ft. 10in and is 194lbs. In the 2011-2012 season Max played with the Timrå Elitserien team and had 5 goals in 48 games played, 5 assists, 10 TPs, 8 PIMs, and a +/- of -3. He is definitely a player who will play both ways and work the boards as well as m
Biscuits and Breezers' Stanley Cup Final Report LA KINGS' CROWNING GLORY           The LA Kings take the Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history! Winning Game 6, 6-1, the Kings are celebrating in style with champagne and great memories.  Jonathan Quick was the winner of the Conn Smythe trophy and Dustin Brown was handed the cup by Gary Bettman, commissioner of the NHL. Dustin Brown, Jeff Carter, Matt Greene, and Trevor Lewis all contributed goals with Dustin Brown, Jeff Carter, and Trevor Lewis all making goals on Steve Bernier's 5 and 10 minute penalties. Dustin Brown, we saw tonight, is the perfect fit for a captain. He had to be big to win this game and he was gigantic having 2 assists and 1 goal. Drew Doughty, Mike Richards, Anze Kopitar, Dwight King, and Jarret Stoll all had assists and Jonathan Quick had 17 saves and a save percentage of .944. In my opinion, it was a bad idea when the Devils pulled Brodeur towards the end of the game becaus
#18 Biscuits and Breezers          Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog we are going to be talking about the major feud between the LA Kings and the New Jersey Devils in Game 4 and Game 5. Starting off with Game 4. Apparently, the brooms are not coming out as early as we thought as the Devils claim Game 4 3-1 and move the series into an unwanted and definitely unexpected Game 5. Feeling the pressure of another sweep from the Kings, the Devils were backed into the corner liked a caged animal and fought back like a devil. The first goal Jonathan Quick was unready for came in the THIRD period. The Devils were putting their best skate forward with 24 shots on goal and some of the best defense/offense in the playoffs and Martin Brodeur being the support of the team, saving them basically from elimination. In the third period, the first goal of the game was scored by Devils' Czech left wing and alternate captain Patrik Elias at 7:56 assisted by C

Ultimately, this could be another sweep for the Kings. Quick is red hot and furious, making 32 saves and having a save percentage of .970. In the second period there was no scoring but in the third period American center Ryan Carter scored
