Spokane Jr. Chiefs U18

Biscuits and Breezers

Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! It was requested that I write a review over the Spokane Jr Chiefs U18 and I am very excited to do so, hope you all enjoy! This team is one you should watch out for because it is one of the best youth teams and because they are all very talented, their entire roster is packed full of skilled players, and they are absolutely full of potential. I have watched a couple of clips on the team and let me say this, when these guys move on to juniors there are going to be some major beauties and wicked snipers out in the big leagues. This is a very high end team and it certainly shows in the statistics. In the regular season, they had 50 wins, 11 losses, 6 ties, 316 goals for, and 124 goals against. That is incredibly amazing. The team has won 4 tournaments this year alone, they won the Washington tier 2 state championship 5-0, and they are going to the USA Hockey Nationals in Wayne, New Jersey this April 2-6th with high expectations of winning it all. I am incredibly impressed with this team because they all have the guts to put every effort they have into their games and therefore the rewards are that much sweeter. The three highest scorers (David McIntosh, Dillon Milliron, and Bobby LaRue) make up the team's top driving force and are the players you should considering looking at as they move ahead into juniors because they can play better than some guys in junior A or B right now. I feel that this is a very good developmental program due to the fact that the players are taught to play with their heart on the ice and that they have something to prove every time they represent their team. McIntosh has 112 TPs, Milliron has 70 TPs, and LaRue has 68 TPs. I am definitely going to keep the coaches and teams I am in contact with looking out for these three guys (and of course the rest of the team as well). They are going to make phenomenal junior players and will be steady bases for teams to rely on not only as point leaders but as team leaders as well. I think every one should take a serious look at this program because it is very high end, the players coming out of it are top-notch, and they have an incredibly bright future as being one of the top youth teams in the country. Spotlight Player Emil Travergard       Biscuits and Breezers         Welcome back to another blog for Biscuits and Breezers! This is another post for the Spotlight Player series, and the player featured today, is a prime example of the defensive qualities that are capable in blue liners. Trending on an upward slope, this particular player brings fire to the ice as well as quite the chill. He may be an independent skater, but he is almost always his team's biggest supporter in the long run. The next Spotlight Player is Haninge Anchors defenseman Emil Travergard!     Emil Travergard - Haninge Anchors (D)   Height: 6 ft 2 in  Weight:  215 lbs Hometown: Stockholm, Sweden 2013-2014 Stats: 1 goal in 23 games played, 3 assists, 4 TPs, and 14 PIMs with Hammarby J20         While watching Travergard on the ice during his stay in the WSHL, he certainly brought a spar...
Jamie Zaleski Biscuits and Breezers    Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! Today you will be able to meet and get to know FHL Danville Dashers center Jamie Zaleski a little bit better. You don't come across a player very often that is so passionate about the sport that he takes immense pride in every game he plays or every time he represents his team, but today I believe I was able to talk to one of those chosen few. Jamie is an amazing player who beams passion and talent every time he walks onto the ice for a game and when you see him play, I guarantee that by the end of the game you will be as stunned as I was when I first watched a Dashers game. Zaleski is the perfect player seeing that he has the ideal combinations of aggressive and physical plays, speed, and can score whenever it needs be. I have seen some pretty aggressive players in my time but Jamie Zaleski is the definition of aggression out on the ice. His hits are almost alway...
#3 Biscuits and Breezers Welcome back to Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog, we will be discussing the Washington vs. New York series and the St. Louis vs. Los Angeles series. Starting off with the Washington vs. New York series. With the series now tied at 2-2, Washington Capital’s Captain Alexander Ovechkin and the rest of the Capitals seemed very pleased with the Game 4 win of 3-2. The Rangers are becoming more and more frustrated with the way the series took a turn after Game 3 when the game went into triple overtime, Rangers winning with a goal from Marian Gaborik at 14:41 in the tiring overtime. He made a goal past Capital’s goalie Braden Holtby with a wrist shot of 13 feet. The goal was assisted by Brad Richards and Daniel Giardi.   In Game 4 the Capitals had goals from Captain Alexander Ovechkin; center Nicklas Backstrom, and defenseman Mike Green. Green had previously been out 50 games with a right ankle injury and then an abdominal injury that required surgery. The ...
