#40    Biscuits and Breezers              Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog we will be talking about Patrick Kane headed to Switzerland as this lockout endures and my AWHL team, the Missoula Maulers, and there 13-1 game this week. Starting off with Kane. As the lockout continues to drag on, players are just giving up and heading to Europe basically for the remainder of what is left of an abandoned cause. The lockout has gotten so bad that players, especially in the KHL, are debating to go back to the States even after the lockout ends. Anyway, this is Patrick Kane's turn in the spotlight this time. For a good reason this time I might point out. The Chicago Blackhawks' main forward has now signed with the EHC Biel in the Swiss League. Kane will be the fifth Blackhawk going to Europe proceeding Viktor Stalberg, Bryan Bickell, Michal Rozsival, and Michael Frolik. The only reason I say that...

#39    Biscuits and Breezers        Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog we will be talking about an amazing USHL goal and Max Pacioretty leaving the Swiss league due to injuries. Starting off with a major beaut from the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. This was an amazing goal let me put it plain and simple. A player by the name of Dylan McLaughlin is the source of this goal and the only words to describe it would be "Dangle" "Snipe" and "Celly". What happened was his teammates and he were rushing down the ice, ready to score a goal, he gets a pass that ends up infront of him, dangles it between his own legs, and goes top shelf on the goalie! You will have to watch the video to understand why it is unbelievably astounding, but once you do you will believe every word I say! In this blog we will talk about Detroit Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg heading to Switzerland and New York Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh plans to play in Russia. Starting off with Detroit!  I have gotten some requests to cover a Red Wings story, so here it is! As you all know, with Lidstrom retired, Henrik Zetterberg has become more progressively known for the fact that he could be the next captain in the long line of  legendary Detroit Red Wings captains.  But with the lockout in full force, he has no jersey to stitch the "C" onto. He has found a solution to this problem. Henrik Zetterberg shall play on Switzerland's EV Zug team. He will also join Red Wings rookie Damien Brunner on Friday. #37   Biscuits and Breezers      Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog we will have the first game review of the year! Let’s start off with the game review. I recently attended the Missoula Maulers' home opener. Let me tell you, for a small town in western Montana, it seemed like the entire town came out for this. At an attendance of over 1,300 people, the Glacier Ice Rink was packed with hockey fans from all over to come fill their lockout wound and watch some good old junior hockey. With no scoring until the 2nd period, both goalies in the cage were impeccable. McKinlee Baum for the Maulers and Nic Wackerly for Billings, both in the cage with eyes of a hawk. Nothing would get past them and they were on top of where the puck so much that they wore both teams out even before the second period started. But, man these guys are packing muscle this season. #36    Biscuits and Breezers           Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog we will be talking about Sweden's potential hockey player-population growth, the Missoula Maulers' home opener, and a player's move back home. Starting off with Sweden. During the regular NHL season, many players are come from the grand Scandinavian country of Sweden to play over in North America. Now with the lockout many players from Sverige are stuck about where to play this season. Well now things are turning around. The Elitserien is now accepting, though very limited, spots in their league. So potentially players such as Henrik Lundqvist, Erik Karlsson, and Loui Eriksson could go back to the league that made their dreams come true.
