In this episode we will be talking about Alexander Semin (formerly) of the Washington Capitals signing with Carolina and Marc-Andre Fleury's Wedding! Starting off with Alexander Semin. Carolina will definitely be a playoff contender I think because the two Staal brothers are joined by one of the Washington Capitals top scorers Alexander Semin. Semin signed a 1 year $7 million contract with the Carolina Hurricanes. It appeared that Hurricanes have certainly been hunting the free agent market for potential NHL stars to sign. Well it was a swing and a miss in the chase after Zach Parise after he signed with the Minnesota Wild and another disappointment came when another potential signing ended after Columbus Blue Jackets star player Rick Nash decided to go to New York to play with the Rangers. #26 Biscuits and Breezers        Welcome to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog we will talk about two big deals that happened this week. The suspense where Rick Nash will be going and where Shea Weber will be going is over and here are the results. Rick Nash will be trading in Columbus for New York City. Yes Rick Nash is going to the Rangers. On Friday it was announced that the New York Rangers will be sending Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov, defensive prospect Tim Erixon, and a first round pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft to Columbus. Besides receiving Nash, the Rangers will be getting a conditional third round pick and minor league defenseman Steve Delisle. Now this is a good deal for both teams. Even though the Rangers are losing some of their top scorers they are gaining a very reliable player that will carry his responsibilities on the team and will hold up on his own. In this episode, we will be talking about Nashville's risky move about losing both Weber and Suter, Drew Doughty's date rape case, and Ondrej Pavelec's drunk driving sentence. Starting off with Nashville. It appeared this week that Shea Weber could be packing his bags and moving to Philadelphia. Upon free agency, the Philadelphia Flyers have signed Shea Weber, captain of the Nashville Predators, to a 14 year $110 million offer sheet. This means that the Predators have 7 days to match this offer or accept 4 1st round draft picks as compensation for Weber leaving. Now, many think that the Predators will have to match because of losing Ryan Suter to Minnesota. Personally, I don't think that they can afford to lose another one of their star players. The Predators will have to be willing to spend big bucks and hope that this deal will be worth it in the end.  ...

In this blog we will be talking about the development camps for the NHL teams and the many signings of this years draft picks. Starting off with the development camp. In a junior/minor hockey team, a family is created through rough times and amazing times where everyone has your back. In an NHL team, a family is created through all of those things and through stress, anxiety, and from close-knit relationships where you have to watch out for each other. This is what development camps are for. To bring the prospects together and try to bond them into a family before they step onto the ice for their first NHL game. In this blog we will be talking about Lidstrom coming back to the NHL and Brett MacLean's come back from a cardiac scare. Starting off with Lidstrom's new job. In May, one of hockey's greatest defenseman Nicklas Lidstrom from the Detroit Red Wings retired after 20 fantastic seasons. It has come up now that he will be back working for the NHL, not on the ice, but for the Red Wings working as a scout. Assistant general manager Jim Nill confirmed this on Sunday saying that he will probably be based in Europe mostly because Nicklas plans to move back to his native country, Sweden. Maybe this will produce even more fantastic Swedish players. It is quite a change going from the larger European rinks to the smaller North American rinks. So since free agency has started, there has been a lot of change not only in the team rosters but in the players' personal lives. Martin Brodeur for example will be staying in New Jersey from a 2 year $9 million deal that will keep him playing in Prudential Center while Jaromir Jagr will be spending a year in Dallas from a 1 year $4.55 million deal that will send him from his home in the Northeast to a new home in the heart of Texas. From Wells Fargo Center to the American Airlines Center. Another big shift in the rosters for next year will be that New Jersey Captain Zach Parise and Nashville Predators defenseman Ryan Suter have chosen to go to the Minnesota Wild for the 2012-2013 season. #21 Biscuits and Breezers       Welcome to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! How is your summer going beauts? As you all know, or are about to know, that the free agency starts today. Now, that leaves a gamble of who is going to snatch up who and what team will rise above the rest and grab some of the best players on the market right now. Zach Parise is one of the biggest players up for grabs. Then it came out that Martin Brodeur is going to test out the waters of free agency. He has hired agent Pat Brisson and could possibly go to another NHL team. Could you believe Marty going to another team? He has been with the Devils since the '90s. He has played 1191 games and 70,028 minutes in the NHL all with the Devils! I don't know about you but I think that the Devils will do anything to get Brodeur to agree to stay with them.
