Spotlight Player: Sandro Aeschlimann   Biscuits and Breezers           Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! As you can tell this is another Spotlight player review and the skater I am reviewing today is and absolutely monstrous goaltender. He goes into games seeking success and doesn't leave until he finds it. This goaltender takes complete control of everything going on within his zone and is goaltender you certainly don't want to mess with. This particular skater is one that exudes intimidation as well as confidence. Spotlight Player: Danny Roe       Biscuits and Breezers               Welcome back to another blog for Biscuits and Breezers! This post is another segment for the Spotlight Player series, and this time, what a player I've got for you all this time. This player will go to the ends of the earth and back for his team. He will push through any situation to see his team become successful at the end of the night. This particular skater plays with immense passion and it is seen in every one of his games. 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship : Day Three       Biscuits and Breezers    Continuing on with the events and happenings of the World Junior Championship, there were only two games scheduled for December 28th, 2014. In Group A, the Americans were set to take on Team Germany, and in Group B, the Swiss battled it out against Team Russia. Both games ended with shutout finals and both games almost saw double digit scores. Team USA won over Germany 6-0 and Russia claimed the win over Switzerland 7-0. After three days of play, the top three leaders in Group A are Canada (6 points), USA (5 points), and Slovakia (3 points). The top three Group B leaders are Sweden (6 points), Russia (5 points), and Switzerland (3 points). Spotlight Player: Anton Bokull     Biscuits and Breezers            Welcome back to another blog for Biscuits and Breezers! This blog is another piece in the Spotlight Player series, and this time, the player is absolutely taking the WSHL by storm. He is showing great promise within the season already and he has proven to be an incredibly solid player. He adds a great quality of strength and intimidation to the realm of players in WSHL's Northwest division. Your next Spotlight Player is Southern Oregon Spartans forward Anton Bokull!     Anton Bokull - Southern Oregon Spartans (F)     Height: 6 ft 0 in Weight: 170 lb Hometown: Norrkoping, Sweden 2013-2014 Stats: 12 goals in 27 games played, 21 assists, 33 TPs, and 14 PIMs         Junior players are always trying to bring as much strength to the ice as possible, but when you play against Bokull, you are skating against a player who packs a rocket behind his shot as well as an abundance of power.
2015 IIHF World Junior Championship: Day Two     Biscuits and Breezers     Today (December 27th), Day Two of the 2015 World Junior Championship took place in both Toronto and Montreal, Canada. Following the trend set by the first day, there were some great performances all around the board. It is very apparent that all teams are bringing an intense competition level, and in the medal rounds, the lion among the wolves will take home the gold. From the first puck drop, it has been neck and neck, and no one is going home without giving their best fight possible. There were four total games scheduled for today and they were Denmark vs. Sweden and Czech Republic vs. Switzerland in Group B and Slovakia vs. Finland and Germany vs. Canada in Group A. Group B - Denmark vs. Sweden: Going into this game, both the Swedes and the Danes were coming in hot after outstanding performances on the WJC's opening day. 2015 IIHF World Junior Championship: Day 1        Biscuits and Breezers    Starting today, December 26th, 2014,  the pucks were dropped in four games for the opening of the 2015 IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation) World Junior Championship taking place in both Toronto and Montreal. If you are unfamiliar with the World Junior Championship, every year from the end of December into the first week of January, the top junior players around the world represent their home countries in a race to win gold. There are two groups of teams, Group A and Group B, consisting of 5 countries each. Also, many of the skaters on each team are prospects for that year's NHL Draft. Continuing on with today's events, there were four matches to open the tournament. In Group A, Team USA took on Team Finland and Team Canada was paired up against Team Slovakia. In Group B, Team Denmark went up against Team Russia and Team Sweden was taking on Team Czech Republic Group A - USA vs.
Spotlight Player: Andreas Pettersson Biscuits and Breezers  Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! I am bringing you an installment of Biscuits and Breezers' Spotlight player reviews, and this time, I will be reviewing a goaltender who plays a top notch game as well as one that is a great representation of the highlights of junior hockey goaltending. He is an incredibly bright player as well as one who has an innate sense to the game. He has already shown that he has the talent to play through any situation thrown at him and come out without a fracture. This particular player is a phenomenal player to have on roster because he takes on ten times the amount he is expected and always pulls through for his team mates. Biscuits and Breezers' College Spotlight Player: Robert Gervino Height: 5 ft 11 in Weight: 180 lbs Hometown: Homer Glen, Illinois, USA When Robert Gervino gets to the rink for game day, it's game face on and head held high, because Gervino knows he will be putting in the best ice minutes he possibly can. When looking at Gervino on the ice or off, that is one of the qualities that becomes most prominent; confidence. He is the type of player who is not afraid to break out of the box and forge his own path. Unfortunately, there hasn't been a regular article in over two weeks, but now this will be an article packed full of news! As usual we will start off with the injury report for the week. Anaheim defenseman Eric Brewer will be out 4-6 weeks with a broken foot, Chicago Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford will be out 2-3 weeks after injuring his left foot as a result of missing a step at a recent concert, Pittsburgh Penguins forward Chris Kunitz will be out for a few weeks due to a fractured foot, Penguins defenseman Kris Letang is day to day with a lower body injury, New Jersey Devils forward Travis Zajac has been placed on IR, Columbus Blue Jackets forward Artem Anisimov will be out 2-3 months with a torn triceps muscle, and finally Winnipeg Jets defenseman Zach Bogosian will be out 4-6 weeks with a lower body injury. I will be continuing on with the College Spotlight Player series and today it is one of Northland College's newest players, defenseman Chance Creger! Biscuits and Breezers' College Spotlight Player: Chance Creger Height: 6 ft 3 in Weight: 200 lbs Hometown: Lafayette, Colorado, USA Once you enter the world of college hockey everything changes. Expectations and skill levels sky rocket, players are expected to play at their peak performance every game, and more wins are expected to be shown in the stats. But this is no problem for Chance Creger. Chance thrives on hard work and ambition and is always putting his best foot forward. He isn't afraid to embrace the large frame that he plays with and he will always go to extreme lengths to defend his team as well as the blue line. Creger is most certainly the type of defenseman that every team needs
