#43 Biscuits and Breezers                          Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers! In this blog we will be talking about Blake Geoffrion's skull injury and one of my AWHL team's games. Starting off with the Canadiens. He was recently hospitalized for a depressed skull fracture and has undergone surgery. He is expected to make a full recovery. Playing for the Hamilton Bulldogs, Blake was driven into the boards with his head down by Syracuse Crunch defenseman Jean-Philippe Cote. With his hands to his face and covered in blood, he was skated off the ice to the dressing room. Jean-Philippe wasn't penalized for the clean hit on Geoffrion but did get a fighting major for roughing it up with Bulldogs team mate Mike Blunden. Blake is the grandson of former Canadiens star Bernie Geoffrion. Hopefully he gets better soon because 24 is too young to stop playing the sport you love. It is always devastating when something like this happens because yes th
#42 Biscuits and Breezers           Welcome back to another blog of Biscuits and Breezers. In this episode I want to represent all the house leagues out there. I have had a personal note to do two house teams. One is the GHL and the other is the WHAM. Let's start off with the GHL. GHL stands for Glacier Hockey League. Whether they suffer a win or a loss, there is always a family atmosphere. This isn't your typical house league either. There is skill here. Each player contributes a streng

In this blog, we will be talking about the Wayne Simmonds' "event" in the Czech league and recent Stanley Cup champion Dustin Brown signing with a Swiss team for the lockout. Starting out with Simmonds' problem.  During a game with the Liberec White Tigers, a local team named the Chomutov Pirates aimed racial chants at the Flyers player.  The club was fined 30,000 koruna ($1,554) by the discipline committee and an apology was given by the Tigers. They are "aiming" to prevent any abuse in the future. In the pre-season last year a banana was thrown at Wayne during a game in Ontario. Even though the Flyers aren't my personal favorite team, no one deserves to criticized for their race, ethnicity, or any thing else in that general area. I mean during the playoffs last season, Joel Ward was heavily criticized by Bruins fans after he scored the overtime
